Residents of Treneere and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to find out about ways they can keep their home warm and save on energy bills during a special drop in event held by Cornish fuel poverty charity Community Energy Plus.
Community Energy Plus Senior Project Officer Rob Pickering will be at the Lescudjack centre on Thursday 7th March from 2pm to 4pm and local residents are invited to drop by to ask questions and get advice.
In addition to the drop in, the team at Community Energy Plus have been providing free home visits in Treneere over the next few months, in a push to improve energy efficiency across the whole area.
Anyone who is still interesed in taking advantage of free external wall insulation and funding for loft and cavity wall insulation, heating systems and draught-proofing is urged to come forward. Free insulation is becoming less common due to the introduction of the Green Deal, and customers will only be able to take advantage of this offer for a few weeks longer, so contact Community Energy Plus on 0800 954 1956 as soon as possible to find out if you might be eligible. The scheme is open to those who own their own home, or rent privately, who are in receipt of qualifying benefits, and struggling to keep their home warm and pay bills.
Those interested in any of the support Community Energy Plus are offering can call 0800 954 1956 or email [email protected].
