Community Energy Plus has recently joined the Cornwall New Energy partnership, an ERDF funded project providing support to businesses, social enterprises and community groups that want to generate renewable energy and improve their energy and environmental performance.
The project’s key objectives are to:
- Provide greater energy security in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
- Reduce operating costs and improve an SME’s overall financial performance
- Enable new energy products and services to be brought to market
For more information about the project, see the Cornwall New Energy website.
How this project is funded:
Cornwall New Energy is funded by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund. Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
