The work of a Truro-based charity to alleviate fuel poverty in Cornwall has been recognised by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health. NICE recommendations to tackle cold homes – Cornwall already leading the way

Community Energy Plus, the charity which is one of the lead delivery partners of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly’s Winter Wellbeing Programme, has welcomed guidelines published today which call for a referral network to help tackle deaths and illnesses caused by cold homes. Cause for celebration for Cornwall’s collective switch

It has been announced today (2nd March 2014) that households taking part in Cornwall’s collective energy switching initiative can take advantage of the UK’s cheapest dual fuel tariffs for their gas and electricity since 2010. Over 1800 households have already registered with Community Energy Switch.
