Hayle neighbourhoods to win cash for using less electricity

Residents of two areas in Hayle have the opportunity to earn up to £5,000 each for their local area, by reducing their collective electricity use. This unusual scheme is called ‘Less is More’. Between January 2014 and December 2014, households in Hayle connected to two different local electricity substations will be able to see how much energy they’re using, in real time, on a simple website (www.lessismore.org.uk) – and how it compares against their target.
