Sarah Newton, Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, last week welcomed representatives of the Cornish charity, Community Energy Plus, to the House of Commons to share their experiences of difficulties with the domestic heating oil market. Multi-million pound fund secured by local charity and Cornish installers to offer free solar PV

Local charity Community Energy Plus has re-launched its Solar Communities project, which last year saw 22 buildings benefitting from 177kW of free solar PV. Community Energy Plus, the Camborne-based sustainable energy charity, has bought together investors and local installers to fund roof-mounted solar PV. The re-launch also sees the scheme extended so that not only community buildings but also commercial premises and domestic properties can benefit from free electricity.
