Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP)

Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP) was established in 2001. CSEP's aim is to create a sustainable energy future for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly by actively integrating sustainable energy into public, private and community sector strategies. It was developed and is facilitated by Community Energy Plus.
CSEP has created, assisted and delivered projects that utilise energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies to address the energy needs of communities and businesses.
In 2004, the Energy Strategy for Cornwall, Action Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow, was signed by 72 public and private sector organisations. The Strategy places energy at the heart of sustainable development in one of the UK's most peripheral and rural regions. In order to better facilitate delivery of strategy actions, in 2006 the CSEP Strategic Steering Group instructed a reorganisation of the structure of task and working groups.
The Partnership has won various national and regional awards, and is a best practice model within Europe.
