Home Health / Home Health HotSpots

Community Energy Plus’s multi-award winning home insulation scheme has been running across Cornwall in partnership with the local authorities since 2002. Home Health matches funding together to provide free energy efficiency measures to domestic properties.

These measures include loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and hot water tank jackets along with a package of other benefits. To see if your home is in a Home Health zone, the full list of measures, and time scales, please contact us on FREEPHONE 0800 512 012 * or email advice@cep.org.uk.

LETS Get Warm Partnership

This is a multi-partner project managed by Community Energy Plus. Other partners include Restormel Borough Council, British Gas and the Eaga Partnership.

Targeting the private rented sector of properties with more than one dwelling in Newquay, the project provides free insulation measures such as cavity wall and loft insulation. Warm Front

The government's Warm Front scheme provides free insulation and heating for people on certain benefits, so for example a household with someone over the age of 60 could get loft and cavity wall insulation and a full gas fired central heating system or storage heaters.

For those not on benefits there is a broad range of partial grants available from utility companies. Grants are available for all those who rent privately and owner/occupiers. These depend on the type of home you live in and further depend on your claiming an entitlement/benefit. To find out the most up to date prices please call the advice centre on 0800 512 012 *.
