Local business support within a European project
The European-funded Nautisme Espace Atlantique Project (NEA2) aims to support the sustainable development of the marine leisure and watersports industry within Europe.
The Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Project (CoaST) and Community Energy Plus are working with marine leisure businesses and clubs in Cornwall to promote sustainable maritime practices.
How the NEA2 Project can help you:
Whether you’re a surf school,scuba club or sail maker, you can access free advice and support to boost your green credentials.
No matter what stage you’ve reached on the path to sustainability, the NEA2 project can help you share expertise with other local marine businesses and take part in free training events.
Planned activity:
~ Recruiting, supporting and promoting‘Marine Environmental Champion Businesses’
~ Developing marine visitor charters - a marketing tool to help businesses promote their sustainability and help visitors to reduce their environmental impact
~ Promoting the BMF & RYA’s Green Blue Campaign
~ Helping businesses to assess their resilience to increases in energy prices
~ Organising beach cleans
~ Ensuring local awards reward environmental excellence in the marine leisure sector
