The concept of working in partnership with local councils and public bodies to maximise awareness and uptake of insulation schemes was pioneered by CEP in Cornwall almost a decade ago. This model continues to be highly successful and is now widely copied under a number of different names all across the country.

This toolkit brings together the knowledge and experience of Cornwall's microgeneration companies and Housing Associations to show how sustainable energy technologies can be installed in the existing housing stock.

Hard to treat case study 2008
A hard to treat farmhouse in Cornwall was treated with various energy saving and renewable energy measures, improving the building's SAP from 6 to 62 and its running costs from £1280/yr to £315/yr.
