Sustainable Tourism Training - the TOAST project

This may be the last chance to receive subsidised training in sustainable tourism!

Funded through Convergence funding - these training programmes offer tourism organisations the opportunity to receive training to the value of £250, gain a qualification, learn more about “greening” your business, prepare for the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) and improve your profit margins, whilst doing your bit for the environment!

All for a registration fee of just £50* per person

*Employer contribution to package which includes support from COAST to work towards Green Tourism Business Scheme award and training

There are three levels of training available:

Level 2 — Thinking About Going Green?
- for those starting out on the sustainable route

Level 3 — Developing a Green Strategy
- for those wishing to formalise their environmental performance (open to those who have already completed level 2)

Level 4 - HE Bite size module — Sustainable Tourism Management
- a 5 day workshop.

Bespoke Courses
- If your business has a group of 5 or more staff requiring the training, we may be able to run a bespoke course on your premises. Please contact us for more information.

Between May 2007 and April 2008 123 people completed the course bringing the total number of people who have gained the qualification since 2005 to 360.
