Wood Fuel South West Advice Service
A new initiative has just been launched to provide free technical advice, support and grant aid to householders, communities, schools, businesses and the public sector for smaller scale wood heating proposals in the SW region (automated boiler systems under 150kW).
A dedicated phone line has been set up, information packs developed and, where appropriate, projects may be eligible for an on-site consultation visit from a renewable-energy expert. The service is being managed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy with a network of local delivery partners, including Community Energy Plus, carrying out site visits to help progress the most viable schemes.
Funding Partners - Woodland Renaissance (£152,262), South West Protected Landscapes Forum (£95,000) and the Forestry Commission.
