Environmental Management Training (EMT)

Funding has been secured from the European Social Fund and the Learning Skills Council by CEP, Cornwall College Business and ReZolve Kernow to improve environmental management within small to medium size businesses across Cornwall.

  • The CIEH Environmental Management at Work Training Level 3 course will be delivered by Cornwall College Business across the county.
  • This course is normally £545 per person but with funding this course is only £50 per person.

What’s the benefit?

Businesses constantly face rising energy and water cost and the green tape of legislation. This programme is here to help delegates to understand and implement the following:

  • Enable organisations to work towards ISO 14001 and to go through Environmental Management Training BS8555.
  • Enable those attending to identify major legislative requirements, and to identify energy and water cost savings.
  • Enable those attending to identify how businesses effect the environment locally, nationally and globally.
  • Enable those attending to identify how environmental improvements can benefit the organisation – financially, PR, ethically and legislatively.
  • Delegates can gain a nationally recognised qualification.

The programme

  • 5 days with written assessment – can be done consecutively or one day per month.

  • Eligibility has to be checked to ensure companies qualify; fewer than 250 employees, Cornwall based company, Sectors include: Life Science, Marine, Multi Media, Food, Environmental and Renewable energies.
