The work of Community Energy Plus’s Alec Rice to alleviate fuel poverty in Cornwall has been recognised by NEA, the national fuel poverty charity, which have named Alec as one of their ‘Heat Heroes’. Insulation scheme continues to keep Cornish homes cosy

A Cornwall Council funded insulation scheme which has helped 2737 households in the past year to save a combined total of around £400,000 [1] on their annual heating bills has pledged to help another 2900 homes over the coming months. Cash rewards for renewable energy generation welcomed

Confirmation from the Government that households and community-scale renewable energy projects will receive cash rewards for generating electricity have been welcomed by Community Energy Plus – Cornwall’s leading charity delivering local solutions to fuel poverty, energy efficiency and renewable energy. A couple from Halsetown, near St Ives, received an unexpected present a few days before Christmas after winning Community Energy Plus’s £250 prize draw. ANTs invade Children’s Centres in West Cornwall
